Dr. Christopher Nguyen is the CEO and co-founder of Aitomatic, a Silicon Valley leader in Industrial GenAI, partnering with industry giants like Samsung, Nvidia, Petronas, MediaTek, Tokyo Electron and TSMC to integrate AI into their operations. He spearheaded the SemiKong project, the world's first open-source, industry-specific LLM for semiconductors, and co-leads the Foundation Models Focus Area in the AI Alliance alongside IBM and Meta.

Previously, Dr. Nguyen served as Global Industrial AI Leader for Panasonic, advancing AI technologies across industries, and as Google Engineering Director for Gmail and Google Apps, where he led key developments in cloud-based applications. In academia, he co-founded the Computer Engineering Program at HKUST and was responsible for establishing Vietnam's first Internet connection in 1997. He also developed the Vietnamese character encoding standards in Unicode 1.0 in 1992, significantly impacting Vietnam's digital landscape.

Beyond these roles, Dr. Nguyen has advised VinAI, FPT Software, and the Vietnam Ministry of Planning and Investment and served on the board of Fulbright University Vietnam. As General Chair of the AI Semiconductor Conference (AISC) in Da Nang, he connects Vietnam's tech community with global leaders in AI and semiconductors. A prominent figure in open-source AI, his projects include Human-First AI and OpenSSA (Agentic AI Framework). He holds a BS from U.C. Berkeley and a Ph.D. from Stanford University.
